Another pointless, unremarkable, easily forgettable remake...throw it in the pile.

This is a typical American bumbling, fumbling, start nowhere, and end nowhere disaster. Attempts at creating a Life of Brian type sophisticated, witty, tongue-in-cheek romp, end in slapstick and throw-away nonsense not worthy of B rated vaudeville. All that was missing was a car chase. What a disservice to a magnificent piece of work

It took minutes for a race swapped female to chastise the DA for convicting criminals, then a burlesque dancing gender bent penguin. Next we get child Bruce barging into Alfreds room like a psychopath in the middle of the night while they portray Alfred as a scared mr belvedere. "Harley Quinn" trying to act as if she had the moral high ground when shes the most sadistic in the entire show in her an Bruce's first meeting bc Bruce punched a man for saying "his mom deserved it for wearing her necklace in crime alley". Which isn't a felony btw Bruce Timm. Its absolutely FULL of politics and every single white character is evil except for Alfred. Even this Batman I'd argue. Its gross and sad to see what the 2020s have become. Making sure they tell you repeatedly how penguin is a genius despite action to the contrary. I could go on and on. Batman voice too robotic, no character at all. Batman is not even the main character. Literally,

Inconsistent writing, poor acting and a waste of talent when it came to Anthony Hopkins’ character. The portrayal of Domitian was over the top and cartoonish. Typical storyline of handsome old son and the twisted young brother.

I’m a HUGE movie enthusiast especially horror movies, aspiring business owner and actress. I’ve already watched 25 new releases in the cinema this year including Trap twice yesterday. I throughly enjoyed it. It’s now in my top five favorite movies from M Night Shyamalan and in my top five favorite movies of the year thus far along with Dune 2, Bad Boys 4 Ride or Die, Maxxxine and Longlegs. ❤❤❤❤

Trap is okay as expected.

I loved the series because of the richness of the characters in the backdrop of a period that was hard as hell to live in. Its true some characters were unlikable at the beginning because of the way that they treated others but it changes when truth and love enters into their life. They have such redeemable qualities and the series highlights what it means to suffer, to hurt at the hands of people that should be looking after you and ultimately what it means to forgive and to love. Like when Licisca runs back to save her sister after all the suffering she put her through, Misia for giving Pampinea her dowry to ensure that she would not die of starvation and ultimately Tindaro who was a man baby but who ultimately stepped up in the end and defended his love Stratilia and her son at the cost of his life. This show had everything for me humor, tragedy, love and heroism in all its chaotic imperfect perfections.10/10

Honestly, "meh" was the best way to describe this series. I went into it really exited, because I love historical dramas, and I love Spartacus. But there are so many pov's, that I couldn't sympathise with anyone. The special effects where okay, but a bit clumsy. Spartacus also had this, but with that show being very violent and rough around the edges, it was working. This show is too refined for it. The gladiator in the show (idek his name anymore) is an exact knock-off of Spartacus, he is seen as a underdog in the beginning, impresses the public but has conflict with the powerful leaders, they want him dead. He also has a best friend who has a young son and a wife, he gives him peptalk and also acts as a exposition dumper. The acting was painfull at times, emotion scenes where not emotional, and the only relationship dynamics that I was truely interested in was between Hermes and Dominitus, because that had actual influence on the storyline. Maybe this is just my opinion, but this was unfortunate, It could have been so much better with half of the characters and storylines.

So I watch and I honestly enjoy it until...for the first 47 minutes cause around the second & 3rd act that where things went downhill

tbh i just finished and i felt like a chore. The humor and story were mid. It had a very few moments that made me laugh, but 98% of the times i had a dead expression on my face wondering why I was watching that...

2:22 I was actually completely drawn to them THROUGH their "unlikeness". I loved that they are mean and unlikable. I love that they are so entitled and how life keeps punishing them for that. I am actually tired of characters who are "good" and "likable" and "doing the right thing". The series feels refreshingly honest about human nature in that sense.

So is it good or what?

*Spoilers* I have to admit I was expecting a lot less than I got from the first 4 episodes...In fact I found it pretty good. I used to watch the original on HBO back in the 1980s, so I've seen it loads and I think this show is successful in not directly retelling the story but throwing it down with more insane circumstances. Stealing mead from 18th Century monks to sell to New York Gansters in the 1920s prohibition era is only one example of the time travel puns this show explores. Characters are hilariously self-deprevating too, the ensemble cast does become more endearing and the arrival of a detective in the 4th episode promises an extrordinary intellectual angle to come into play which I am looking forward to. DEI? Woke? Not really, I hate that shyte. Pythonesk? In a few places, quite blatantly but I felt it came across as adulating their humour rather than rehashing or copying it. The trailer was bad, and there is a lot of horrible shows out there , but this isn't one of them in my opinion.

Dude, when they went to the past, i was dumbfounded, how the hell is fairy god mother, malificent, AND HADES IN HIGH SCHOOL, HADES IS A GOD HE IS IMMORTAL, MALIFICENT DIDNT GO TO SCHOOL, AND FAIRY GOD MOTHER IS WAY OLDER THAN CINDERELLA, also the fact all the heroes and villians were in the same school really contradicts all the og origin stories which are canon in the descendants universe ;-; 2/10 i liked the carlos scene and uma’s cameo. ALSO URSULA DOSENT HAVE A YOUNGER SISTER, i don’t understand why they didnt just make it ursula herself.
